The Country’s Best Volunteers Study at the Chuvash State University

From the 22^nd of February to the 6^th of April the All-Russian public movement "Victory Volunteers" supported by the Federal State budget-funded institution «Rospatriotcentr» and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs held the All-Russian campaign of choosing volunteers to help in organizing the flagship events of celebrating the Victory Day. All those who wanted, regardless of place of residence, could take part in it. For those who had big experience in volunteer activities (actively helped veterans in arranging memorials, took part in historic quests and preserving historical memory) the All-Russian contest "Ambassadors of Victory” was held.

About 200 top Victory Volunteers from all corners of Russia became the winners of the contest; they were co-organizers of the Victory Day Parade on the Red Square in Moscow. The young people helped in the stands along the perimeter of the Red Square, helping the guests. Voluntary work during the holidays helped young people to find new friends. Students of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University, Anastasia Milovidova (faculty of Russian and Chuvash philology and journalism) and Karina Romanova (faculty of law) became the winners in the contest "Ambassadors of Victory” and helped in conducting the principal activities of the Victory Day in the capital.

Foreign Internship for the Chuvash State University Students

From the 26^th of June to the 8^th of July students of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University Egor Nikolayev, Zorob Khaled (Faculty of Medicine), Anna Krasnova (Faculty of Economics) take part in the Youth camp of Universities’ Association "The Volga – the Yangtze”. It is being held in Chengdu, Sichuan province of the People’s Republic of China. Sichuan province is considered to be the homeland of pandas. In the city of Chengdu there is the Centre for studying and breeding giant pandas. In the Centre’s territory there is a Museum of giant pandas. It is the only museum in the world devoted entirely to this endangered animal species.

The schedule of the youth camp’s functioning includes the award ceremony of winners and prize-holders of the international contest of video films “My favorite Volga and Yangtze”. Students of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University are contenders for the victory.

It should be noted that another group of ChuvSU students consisting of Tatiana Timofeeva (faculty of economics), Vladimir Mamyshev (faculty of power engineering and electrical engineering), Ekaterina Pavlova and Maria Ivanova (faculty of foreign languages) from the 29^th of June to the 12^th of July, takes participate in the international summer camp "One Belt, One Path" (the city of Hefei, Anhui Province, China).

The Procedure of Primary and Primary Specialized Accreditation of the Medical Faculty Graduates Started

Today the University Rector, A. Yu. Alexandrov, in ChuvSU Internet Center got acquainted with organization of the first phase of of medical graduates’ accreditation.

615 persons were admitted for the procedure of primary and primary specialized accreditation for graduates-2019, among them 565 persons who have successfully completed training by specialist programme (in specialities "General Medicine", "Stomatology», «Pediatrics»), 50 persons who have completed their mastering educational program in residency (in specialities "Pediatrics", "Therapy", "Oncology", “Cardiology”, “Neurology”). The staff of accreditation commissions of the Russian Federation Public Health Ministry includes managers and practicing doctors to conduct accreditation of specialists with higher medical education.

The second phase, which involves demonstration of skills in simulated conditions, will take place from the 27^th of June to the 5^th of July, and the third (solving situational tasks) – from the 3^rd to the 8^th of July.

On the 25^th of June A. Yu. Aleksandrov, the Rector of the University, met with students of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University – laureates of State youth awards of the Chuvash Republic by the results of 2018. Andrey Yurievich warmly congratulated the new winners, thanked them for their active life position and wished further success. Tey had a detailed conversation about further developing project activities at the University, involving a greater number of active young people. The students also presented their innovative projects and shared their plans for the future.

By the Decree of the head of the Chuvash Republic, M.V. Ignatiev, dated the 19^th of June students of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University were awarded with State Youth Prizes of the Chuvash Republic of 2018 and were awarded with the title "Laureate of the State Youth Prize of the Chuvash Republic»:

Awards presentation took place yesterday, on the Chuvash Republic Day. This year, 17 persons were awarded with prizes. In total this year 41 works were presented at the contest for the national youth award of the Chuvash Republic, 10 projects were supported.

On the 21^st of June the Conference Hall of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University Business Incubator hosted a roundtable "Business-Culture of Youth Entrepreneurship". The moderator of the round table was the First Channel personality, journalist Marina Kim. The participants discussed issues of state support for start-up projects and youth entrepreneurship, development of women's entrepreneurship as a new kind of social entrepreneurship in business, about the role of I. N. Ulianov ChuvSU in the development of youth technological entrepreneurship. The University Rector, A.Yu. Aleksandrov, talked to participants of the round table.

Mathematicians of the Chuvash State University Are Improving Their Professional Skills in "Sirius"

From the 5th to the 12th of June the educational centre "Sirius" (Sochi) hosted an advanced training programme "Introduction to Mathematical Creativity: Traditions, Trends and Opportunities for Primary and Supplementary Mathematical Education. Among the listeners of the program there were two employees of the Chuvash State University: associate professor of mathematics and theoretical mechanics at Applied Mathematics, Physics and Information Technologies Faculty S.A. Yardukhina and the head of the laboratory of theory and technologies of teaching mathematics, physics and informatics A.K. Yardukhin.

56 hours of classes were devoted to the principles of developing modern educational programs of supplementary education, working with students and applicants, organizing additional classes at schools and universities, solving Olympiad tasks. The lessons were given by the Chairman of the Central Subject-Methodical Commission of the All-Russian Olympiad in mathematics N. Kh. Agakhanov, commission members O. Yu. Dmitriev, Y.S. Rubanov, L.M. Samoilov and other famous mathematicians.

During the roundtable, our teachers made the report "Experience of Junior Physico-Mathematical Faculty of the Chuvash State University."

The Chuvash State University Rector, A. Yu. Aleksandrov, Introduced a New Issue of the Journal “Chuvashiya: Innovation Territory”

Bloggers, journalists and representatives of non-governmental organizations on the 13^th of June made a big press tour at I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University and took part in presentation of a new issue of the University popular science journal "Chuvashia: innovation Territory”.

As part of the tour the guests visited the Center for accreditation and simulation training at the medical faculty, where its Dean, V. N. Diomidova, told about modern technologies, thanks to which today's residents are preparing to accreditation tests. The interest of visitors was aimed, for example, at a telemeter, which allows future physicians to train using web-cameras and automated analysis without teacher’s involvement.

The next place to visit was Junior Physico-Mathematical Faculty of the University where the head of the Center for working with gifted youth, PhD in physics and mathematics, D.A. Troeshestova, told the press representatives about summer school classes. We should remind that only over the past academic year it enrolled 900 schoolchildren. By the way, most children that we met during the press tour came to study from other cities of Russia: Murmansk, Saint Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod.

At the Museum of the Great Patriotic War at ChuvSU Historical-Geographical Faculty PhD in History, S.M. Kodybaykin, and the Dean of the Department, Dr.Scient. in History, O.N. Shirokov, conducted a tour of the exhibit, which is created on the basis of the relics found by ChuvSU search squads during their expedition organized by Russian Defense Ministry.

Then the guests visited the University building “B”, which is ready for its official opening at the end of June after major structural repairs. A.G.  Kalinin, Ph.D. in technical sciences, undertook a tour of the new laboratories in electric power engineering and greenfield production, paying special attention to an interactive testing device, donated to the University by SIC "Cascade-Group”. The guests also visited building "G" of the University, where with the help of the Dean of Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering Faculty, PhD in technical sciences, V. G. Kovalev and PhD in pedagogical sciences, T.V. Myasnikova, they familiarized themselves with joint laboratories of ChuvSU and the electro-technical cluster of Chuvashia – JSC “CHEAZ” RPE "Ekra",  and others.

The event ended with presentation of a new issue of the journal "Chuvashiya: Innovation Territory”, which was held by the University Rector, A. Yu. Aleksandrov. The guests of the event were heroes of the newly released issue – a graduate of ChuvSU Foreign Languages Faculty, “Teacher of the year -2019” in the Chuvash Republic, Olga Fizer, Ph.D. in Chemistry, the winner of the grant of the Russian President, Anastasia Alekseyeva, and the champion of the World Universiade, a student at ChuvSU Journalism Department, Lana Prusakova.

An Important National Holiday – Russia’s Day

On the 12^th of June a large and multinational delegation of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University took an active part in the All-Russian procession "Peoples’ Friendship Parade", in which more than 20 nationalities living in the Republic participated for the third time. Its route was: the Republic Square – Leningradskaya Street – the Red Square of Cheboksary.

The city's main celebration took place in the Red Square. Young citizens of the city were handed in passports of the Russian Federation citizens in a festive atmosphere. There was also a ceremony where 20 townspeople were delivered commemorative medals in honor of the 550^th anniversary of Cheboksary. A theatrical performance, a music and dance staging of creative teams and sports federations pleased the citizens and guests of the capital of the Chuvash Republic.

Today is an important national holiday – Russia’s Day. Russia is a unique state with rich centuries-long history, where representatives of numerous different ethnic cultures live in peace and harmony. The heroic past and strength of spirit give us the sense of confidence in our future, give strength to conquer new peaks, to implement good ideas and thoughts.

During Five Years More Than 3000 Pupils Passed Training at the University’s Junior Physics-Mathematical Faculty

On the 10^th of June the head of the Chuvash Republic M.V. Ignatiev and the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs A.V. Bugaev visited ChuvSU Junior Physico-Mathematical Faculty. That day the summer school of Junior Physico-Mathematical Faculty started its lessons by the programmes "Young Einsteins", "Entertaining Physics", "Entertaining Mathematics", "Bases of Financial Mathematics", "Business English". The head of ChuvSU Junior Physico-Mathematical Faculty D.A. Troeshestova introduced the guests to the youngest participants of the summer school – those who completed primary school or just getting ready for school. For these children the University created special conditions, bright educational space, play space.

- It is correct to start career - guidance work and instill love to serious science from an early age, said A.V. Bugaev.

A particular attention was paid to children, studying the basics of physics in new physical laboratories. M.V. Ignatiev asked one of the students: "What experiment are you performing? What do you want to define?” Alexey Surikov, who finished the 2^nd grade at a school in St. Petersburg and came on vacation in Cheboksary, replied: "We study the density of substances. We want to determine why some objects sink and others float on the surface of the water”.

The University Rector, A. Yu. Aleksandrov, noted that the physical equipment for the new lab was purchased at the expense of the Federal budget, thanks to a grant from the Russian Ministry of Education in the amount of 5 million 962 thousand 500 rubles. The Republican budget allocated the amount of 3 million 577 thousand 499 rubles to implement the project “Junior Physico-Mathematical Faculty”.

During the period of implementing the project (since December 2014) more 3000 schoolchildren passed training at Junior Physico-Mathematical Faculty, 25 Olympiads and physical-mathematical contests are annually held, more than 1000 students each year participate in various scientific and professional activities of the University.  Junior Physico-Mathematical Faculty for schoolchildren is the space for self-fulfilment, opening their talents, the ground for professional navigation in their native republic.

I. N. Ulianov ChuvSU Hosts an International Conference Dedicated to the 150-th Anniversary of Academician S.A. Chaplygin

From the 3^rd to the 6th of June I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University hosts an International Conference «Scientific Heritage of S.A. Chaplygin: Nonholonomic Mechanics, Vortex Structures and Hydrodynamics”. It is timed to coincide with the 150^th anniversary of the famous Russian and Soviet mechanical engineer, mathematician, one of the founders of modern aeromechanics and aerodynamics. The event is a continuation of a series of international conferences Advances in Nonlinear Science, which take place annually, being supported organizationally and financially by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Mathematical Institute named after V.A. Steklov of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and the international scientific journal "Regular and Chaotic Dynamics”. In 2019 I. N. Ulianov ChuvSU was chosen to be the venue of the International Conference.

The opening ceremony of the Conference was attended by the Chairman of the Chuvash Republic Cabinet of Ministers, Ivan Motorin.

The event was organized by FSBEI HE “I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University”, Mathematical Institute named after V.A. Steklov of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University), "Innopolis" University and Izhevsk Institute of Computer Studies.

The conference was opened by the Rector of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University, PhD in Economy, Associate Professor, Andrey Yurievich Aleksandrov. A report was also made by the head of the Mechatronics and Robotics Laboratory at the Physics-Technical School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, the head of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at I. N. Ulianov ChuvSU, Professor Alexey Vladimirovich Borisov.

During four days the event will be attended by more than 100 leading scientists from different cities of Russia as well as from France, Mexico, Serbia, Poland, the United States and Australia. The conference participants also include young scientists, post-graduate students and students.

Great attention will be paid to the issues of applied nature; reports will be made by representatives of “Samsung Research Center» (Moscow), «OOO Souzmortrans» (Vladivostok), “OOO "Energoinnovacii” (Cheboksary).

Visiting the village of Krylovo in Poretskoye region – the homeland of the famous shipbuilder, mechanical engineer, mathematician, the founder of "Ship Theory", Academician Alexei Nikolayevich Krylov – is scheduled in the conference program as well.

On the 1^st of June, which is an International Children's day, a charitable action "Become the First!" was held in Cheboksary, this event is held annually in different cities of the country by the First television channel. One of the sites of the campaign was I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University. Here a meeting of ChuvSU Honorary Doctors, a People's Artist of Russia, Leonid Yakubovich, and a Hero of Russia, Nikolai Gavrilov, with activists of the “Russian movement of schoolchildren" took place. The guests told the girls and boys about the interests and hobbies of their childhood, about what a children's dream is and how to get it fulfilled as well as answered numerous questions from the schoolchildren.

Business and Friendly Visit

Being invited by senior executives of the Mordovian State University named after N.P. Ogarev, the delegation consisting of heads of the I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University structural subdivisions on the 28^th of May arrived to the friendly high school. The aim of the visit is to exchange experience in organizing educational and scientific process. Leaders of youth student organizations of our University are getting acquainted with the system of extracurricular work at the Mordovian State University named after N.P. Ogarev.

Tupolev (KNITU-KAI) held the All-Russian student Olympiad "Computer simulation in the aircraft industry”, in which a student of the Chuvash State University, Dmitry Konovalov, took the third place in the III round and the third place in the category "CAM Technologies in NX Medium”.

New Promising Directions of Cooperation Are Identified

On the 24^th of May in Cheboksary in the Ice Palace “Cheboksary arena” the Rector of the Chuvash State University, A. Yu. Aleksandrov, participated in the II Forum of the Association of Universities of the Volga Federal District of the Russian Federation and of provinces of upper and middle courses of the Yangtze River of the People's Republic of China.

At sectional sites participants discussed the contribution of Russian and Chinese universities to the development of the project "Years of Russian-Chinese interregional cooperation, the role and prospects of Chinese-Russian interregional cooperation in the projects “One belt and one way” and the Eurasian Economic Union, economic, technological, and social effects of implementing youth initiatives in the format of «the Volga –the Yangtze” at the level of states, regions and universities and outlined new prospective directions for further cooperation. M. N. Krasnova, the head of the Center for the study of China, told about the prospects of partnership relations between I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University and universities of China.

The representatives of Russian and Chinese universities adopted a joint memorandum by the results of the Forum’s work.

The Capital of Chuvashia Hosts the Forum of Universities’ Association «The Volga – the Yangtze»

On the 23^rd of May 23 in Cheboksary the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian Federation President in the Volga Federal District, Igor Komarov, a member of State Council of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yong and the head of the Chuvash Republic Mikhail Ignatiev launched the Forum of Universities’ Association «The Volga – the Yangtze». The Forum gathered representatives from 12 universities of the People's Republic of China and 20 universities of the Volga Federal District.

Welcoming the participants, Igor Komarov reminded that the activities of the Association are aimed at developing international and inter-regional contacts; at consolidating efforts to prepare highly qualified young specialists, at extending student and teacher exchanges as well as performing joint research.

“Russia and China are connected not only by close friendly relations, but by their common desire to make the world safer, to ensure reliable conditions for sustainable development of our countries as well. And in this a particular role is played by the youth. It is our future that is confirmed by a wise Chinese proverb: "If an old man doesn’t pass on his experience, a young man will never become experienced”. That is why the role of universities in Russia and China in developing cooperation “The Volga – the Yangtze” is so important”, – stressed the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian Federation President in the Volga Federal District.

According to a member of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yun, the Association of universities became an effective platform for joint activities in such areas as education, science and technology, as well as in cultural and humanitarian media. Within the framework of the Council for international cooperation “The Volga – the Yangtze”, the parties intend to bring more participants to the system of cooperation, to use opportunities and the enormous potential of the Association as a flagship project in the field of further deepening cooperation.

“Universities represent an important vital force for further promotion of bilateral relations, as well as a source of intellectual support for promoting interregional cooperation”, said the member of the State Council of the People's Republic of China.

Association of higher educational institutions is intended to serve as a think tank in promoting development of bilateral relations and interregional cooperation between the two countries. The most important mission of the Association is to create a centre for training highly skilled specialists of innovation aimed at advanced technological developments.

During the meeting the results of the Association functioning were introduced by the co-Chairmen of the Association on the Russian side, the Rector of R.E. Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University, Sergey Dmitriev, and on the Chinese side, by the Rector of  Sichuan University, Li Yanzhun.

The Chairman of the Chuvash Republic Cabinet of Ministers, Ivan Motorin, informed about active development of inter-regional relations and international exchanges in the field of higher professional education in Chuvashia. Over the last 5 years, more than 50 professors of Chuvashia participated in various academic programs of international exchange. Increased activity in the area of international cooperation resulted in expansion of students’ exchange. Every year students take an active part in various educational programs in the framework of international exchange.

The plenary meetings of the Forum discussed issues of further development of exchange programs for lecturers and students, publication of scientific and methodical works, joint educational programs.
