A delegation of municipal district Anqing of Anhui Province (China) visited the Chinese cultural center of I. N. Ulyanov ChuvSU

From the 19^th to the 21^st of August a delegation of the urban district Anqing of Anhui Province of the People's Republic of China headed by the Chairman of the People's political consultative council of the urban district Anqing Mr. Chang Jinzhuy paid an official visit to the town of Cheboksary. The guests from China visited a number of social sites, watched a specially prepared presentation of the Chuvash Republic and took part in the festivities dedicated to the 547^th anniversary of the capital of Chuvashia.

On the 20^th of August the guests of our Republic visited the Chinese cultural center which was opened at I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University in July this year. Here they were met by the Chief of Department for international relations E.V. Nuzhdaeva, the Dean of the foreign languages faculty M.V. Emelyanova, the Director of the Chinese cultural center and the Center for China study of ChuvSU M.N. Krasnova.

The head of instrumental performance and conducting chair N.I. Ivanova, students Aleksey Egorov and Natalya Egorova as well as graduates of Anhui University Huang Xinghua and Li Meijing who came to study at our University performed the song "Eternal love" accompanied by a cello and Chinese folk instruments erhu and hulusis. E.V. Nuzhdaeva talked about the dynamics of cooperation with Chinese counterparts.

The Chuvash State University has 8 Chinese partners-universities; scientists of the Celestial Empire publish their papers in our journals, works of Cheboksary researchers were published in Chinese publications. In 2014-2016 respectively mutual holidays on our cultures took place; in 2016 two videoconferences were held.

The Chuvash party expressed hope for closer cooperation in the field of education, academic exchanges, development of friendly partnership between the two countries.

In response the Director of the media-bureau of the urban district Anqing, Liu Chunwang, invited musicians to participate in the Festival of Arts of China: "Music does not need translators, you need to understand it with your soul. I was really touched by the performance of the artists, and we are ready to arrange this trip”.

During the meeting the members of the delegation asked their compatriots who entered the historical-geographical faculty of ChuvSU to name three reasons for their decision. Huang Xinghua and Li Meijing answeredwith a smile: "Love to the Russian language and Russian culture, kind, helpful people and a cosy, quiet, beautiful town of Cheboksary!”.

On the 24^th of August in the Palace of culture of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University the Chairman of Education Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Dean of state administration faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University, doctor of historical sciences, Professor V.A. Nikonov gave a lecture a public lecture “Russia: challenges and opportunities” for academic teaching staff and members of educational community of the Republic.

At the beginning of his lecture, Vyacheslav Alexeevich thanked the University for the invitation to visit the leading University of the Republic, and noted that it was "a great honour and a great pleasure to be here today, in the walls of the Chuvash State University – a renowned educational institution of our country".

In his lecture Professor V.A. Nikonov characterized the main stages of historical development of the Russian State, traced the dynamics of perception of the image of Russia in the West, noted modern trends in international socio-political development, assessed the situation in key sectors of the Russian economy. The lecturer emphasized that events which occurred in the world at present, were not only a challenge for Russia but they provided new opportunities for further development as well.

On the 24^th of AugustI. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University was visited by the Chairman of Education Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation V.A. Nikonov.

The visit to the Chuvash State University began with a working meeting of V.A. Nikonov with the Rector of the University A. Yu. Alexandrov. They discussed issues of further improvement of educational system, industry funding, prospects of the University development.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on education A.I. Arshinova, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Chuvash Republic N. V. Malov, Deputy Minister of education and youth policy of the Chuvash Republic S.V. Kudryashov.

On the 23^rd of August at the Republican Conference of educators which was held on the basis of Cheboksary electromechanical college of the Ministry of Education of Chuvashia a section “Innovative approaches to training of sought-after specialists of real economy in the conditions of staffing standard implementation” worked. A. Yu. Alexandrov, the Rector of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University made a report “State and prospects of engineer training at I. N. Ulianov ChuvSU”. Andrey Yuryevich spoke on the experience of the University in training engineers, networking with educational institutions, enterprises and organizations of the Republic, participation in federal contests, new forms of career guidance activities.

On the 22^nd of August in building “G” of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University a working meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on education A.I. Arshinova with the lecturers and employees of the University took place.

Opening the meeting, the Rector of A.Yu. Alexandrov told about the main results of the University’s multifaceted activities and outlined the task for ChuvSU team in the nearest future.

In her speech A.I. Arshinova spoke in detail on issues of further improvement of educational system, industry funding, involvement of universities in grant projects, infrastructure development, social support of students and employees.

On the 20^th – 21^st of August students and representatives of I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University took an active part in the events dedicated to the Town Day of Cheboksary.

On Saturday athletes of the University successfully performed in the Festival of power sports in the Students’ public garden. Women's basketball team “Atlanta” participated in the opening of sports and recreation complex "Sports School named after the Olympic champion Valerian Sokolov”. The same day the villagers of settlement Sosnovka were congratulated by the chief medical officer of the Federal Center for Traumatology, orthopaedics and joint endoprosthesis of the Ministry of public health of the Russian Federation (Cheboksary), Member of the State Council of the Chuvash Republic N. Nikolaev, the Rector of the University A. Yu. Alexandrov. The University’s creative team organized a festive presentation for residents of the neighborhood "Kuibyshvsky".

Citizens and guests of the capital began their Sunday morning with a traditional "Morning exercise with a star", which was attended by about 5 thousand lovers of a healthy lifestyle, including a large group of students and lecturers of the Chuvash State University, headed by Rector A. Alexandrov. Participants of the sporting event were welcomed by the Mayor of Cheboksary L.I. Cherkesov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for education A.I. Arshinova, head of town administration A. O.. Ladykov, a participant of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, gymnast Vladislav Polyashov.

The art project was widely presented by "Creative Boulevard” that stretched from Gagarin Street to the Red Square of Cheboksary. On numerous interactive venues dancing and singing groups demonstrated their talents and opportunities. The head of Chuvashia M.V. Ignatiev got acquainted with platform of youth innovative creativity Events dedicated to the 547th anniversary of the founding of the town of Cheboksary, culminated with a concert of Oleg Gazmanov and the group "Squadron" as well as with fireworks.

Winners of the regional stage of the open public Nationwide Contest for the best organization of physical culture and sports among students are named

In the regional stage of the open public Nationwide Contest for the best organization of physical culture and sporting work among students in 2015/2016 academic year three professional educational institutions (Alatyr College of technology, Novocheboksarsk chemical-mechanical college, Cheboksary machine-building technical school) and three educational institutions of higher education (I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University, Chuvash State Agricultural Academy and Cheboksary Cooperative Institute) took part.

In nomination "Best accredited educational institution of higher education in organization of physical culture and sports activities among students in 2015/2016 academic year" in the second group with a cohort of full-time students from 5001 to 10000 students I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University was determined as the winner.

According to the results of the regional phase of the Contest the winners’ submissions will be sent to participate in the all-Russian competition of professional educational institutions and educational institutions of higher education for the best organization of physical culture and sports work among students in 2015/2016. The contest is held with the participation of the Ministry of education and science of Russia and the All-Russian public organization “Russian student sports union”.

Students of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University are volunteers of the XXVIII International Olympiad in Informatics

On the 10^th of August students of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University as volunteers left for Kazan to participate in the XXVIII international Olympiad of schoolchildren in Informatics, which runs from the 12^th to the 19^th of August 2016.

The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) is an annual informatics competition for schoolchildren. IOI was first held in 1989. As part of the Olympiad a scientific-practical conference is held, a scientific journal, included in the international database Scopus for reference purposes (Scopus) is published.

In preparation and conducting the XXVIII international Olympiad in Informatics more than 250 volunteers will take part. Their recruitment and training for participation in "IOI-2016» was carried out by a special volunteer center, created on the basis of Kazan Federal University. Among the volunteers students of ChuvSU were chosen.

On the 10^th of August in the Big Hall of the Government House under the chairmanship of the head of Chuvashia M.V. Ignatyev the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvash Republic was held, where the parties discussed the outcomes of economic and social development of the region in the first half of 2016 and tasks for the second half of the year.

The Chairman of Rectors Council of the Chuvash Republic, the Rector of I. N. Ulyanov ChuvSU A.Yu. Alexandrov commented:

-Ministerial reports were very detailed and objective. I would like to note an important point, in my view – a rather large number of enterprises demonstrate growth, these are our partners in electro-technical, machine-building and chemical clusters. At this, the increase in volumes was not only due to expansion of production areas, but which is more important, due to increased workforce productivity as well.

Speaking about the tasks for the nearest future, for the second half of the year, from my point of view, one of the key vectors of the Chuvash Republic Government activity is very correctly determined – it is support and development of innovative high-tech industries. One of examples is the establishment of the Engineering Centre on the basis of the Chuvash State University, whose partners became our Chuvash enterprises. It is obvious that without effective support of the leadership of the Republic, executive authorities, in particular, the Ministry of economic development, trade and industry of the Chuvash Republic, it would be impossible to win this contest at the cost of 100 million rubles. In the next two years an engineering centre of transport and agricultural machinery will be created.

Combining the efforts of authorities, enterprises, and universities allows to receive additional federal funds on a competitive basis for establishment of such innovative structures, which are designed to ensure economic growth, which, in turn, will help to successfully address social issues.

On the 9^th of August the Chairman of the Rectors Council of the Chuvash Republic, the Rector of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University A. Yu. Alexandrov and the chief medical officer of the Federal Center for Traumatology, orthopaedics and joint endoprosthesis of the Ministry of public health of the Russian Federation (Cheboksary), Member of the State Council State of the Chuvash Republic N. S. Nikolayev met with members of the composite search detachment ofChuvashia – participants of the International military-historical search expedition “Kalinin front” organized from the 10^th  to the 25t of  August in Rzhev region of Tver Oblast. They thanked them and their teachers for contribution they make to preserve the memory of heroes of the Great Patriotic War, and wished them a successful expedition.

Over 700 people will take part In the expedition: both experienced and novice searchers from 39 regions of Russia, as well as countries of near and far abroad, soldiers of the 90-th separate special search battalion of the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation.

Besides educational sessions, over the lifetime of the expedition, searchers will be looking for the remains of the Red Army soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War in Rzhev region. In addition, for all participants there are thematic round tables, a poetic evening "Unfinished war”, presentations of search detachments, demonstration of movies about the war, a historical quiz and excursions.

Currently, in the Chuvash Republic there are 16 search detachments, included into the registry of search detachments of Russia and who are members of the All-Russian public movement "Search movement of Russia” (including “Saint George Ribbon" of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University).

Ulyanov Chuvash State University in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and the Russian language and of mathematics Olympiad “Hope of electrical engineering of Chuvashia”with admission to I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University!

Our most successful participants of Olympiad movement chose different faculties for continuing their education: Faculty of energy and electrical engineering, Medical Faculty, Civil Engineering Faculty, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of applied mathematics, physics and information technology, Faculty of foreign languages.

Most of them concluded the agreement for employer-sponsored education training and some of them will get personalized scholarships.

Young doctors from Chuvashia perceive «new meanings»

From the 6^th to the 12^th of August in Vladimir Oblast the session "Young scientists and teachers in the field of health” of the All-Russian youth educational forum “Territory of meanings” took place. A delegation of young doctors of Chuvashia, consisting of 13 students went to the forum for getting new knowledge, acquaintances and opportunity to get support for their projects.

The program included very interesting events, among which there was a meeting with the Minister of public health of the Russian Federation Skvortsova Veronica Igorevna, the founding Congress of the All-Russian movement "Volunteers-Doctors”. 

"Territory of meanings” is a unique chance, an attempt to create a new idea, a new meaning, which can and should be implemented, brought to life. This Forum helps to discover more abilities in yourself, to get acquainted with people who in future will play an important role in our lives. The session "Young scientists and teachers in the field of health” is held for the first time. I am confident that this project is really needed by our youth, including medical students. All of the knowledge, skills, which we receive during our studies, will be very useful for us in our further work with patients”, a student of I. N. Ulyanov ChuvSU Irina Lepina shared her impressions. 

State task on admission of applicants for intramural and intra-extramural forms of study at I.N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University is completely fulfilled

On the 8^th of August a joint meeting of the Admission Board and the Academic Council of the University under the chairmanship of the Rector of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University A. Yu. Aleksandrov was held. They examined the following issues: enrollment for the 1^st year of study byintramural and intra-extramural forms of study to basic competitive places at the second stage of courses (majors); enrollment for the 1^st year of study byintramural and intra-extramural forms of study on the basis of contracts on paid educational services provision; admission to entrance tests of applicants to study at the University by master degree programs and recommendation for their enrollment; admission of applicants to graduate training programmes and specialist degree programs to entrance tests held by the University alone, and recommendation for their enrollment.

At the Chuvash State University and Alatyr branch of the University 1189 persons were enrolled, which makes 100% of admission quotas allocated to the University by the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation. 

State task on admission of applicants to the first year of study by Bachelor and specialist degrees programs by intramural and intra-extramural forms of study at I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University in 2016 year is fulfilled completely.

9 students of informatics and computing faculty of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University and a senior lecturer of mathematics and information systems hardware chair S.O. Ivanov took part in the session “Young scientists and teachers in IT field” of All-Russian youth educational forum "Territory of sense on the Klyazma”. The Forum was held on the shore of the Lake Zapolskoye (Vladimir region). The session program included attending lectures of renowned specialists in IT sphere, participation in contests and cultural events. In spare time, participants could work out on the sports field, go boating, drive a segway, climb on the climbing wall, communicate with participants who came to the forum from all regions of Russia.

One of Forum’s innovations in 2016 were case-quests (workshops), the winners had the opportunity to undergo training in "Sberbank-technology" and MTS Company. Students of ChuvSU D.V., Agnaishvili I.Yu. Bolshakov and A.V. Petkun participated in projects line to receive grants in the amount of 100, 200, 300 thousand rubles. Assessment was organized in several stages: selection of projects by experts, protection and answering questions, participants vote for best project. The authors were awarded diplomas, D.V. Agnaishvili’s project "Platform of electronic documents filing" was recommended for implementation. Allparticipantsreceivedcertificates.

Meeting with the Council of working youth

On the 27^th of July at the training center of the autonomous institution "Municipal Dental polyclinic" of the Public Health Ministry of Chuvashia, a meeting of youth councils with Deputy of the State Duma Alyona Arshinova was held.

The meeting was also attended by the Member of the Chuvash Republic State Council Nikolay Nikolayev, Deputy of Cheboksary City Council of deputies Vladimir Viktorov, the Chairman of fathers’ Council of the town of Cheboksary Alexey Murygin, the Rector of I. N. Ulyanov ChuvSU Andrey Alexandrov.

Addressing the audience, Alyona Arshinova noted successful implementation of Federal programmes of pre-school and school education in the Chuvash Republic.

"In the period of 4 years in the framework of kindergartens construction and reconstruction programme our Republic has received more than 1.6 billion rubles from the Federal budget, another 0.6 billion were allocated from the Republican budget. The result was opening of 45 kindergartens. Now, the main priority is construction of schools. Works on construction of a school for 1100 seats in Gladkov street have already been underway”, told Alyona Arshinova.

In the second part of the meeting there was interesting information about young workers councils of autonomous institution «Municipal Dental polyclinic" and OJSC "ELARA".
