On the 29^th of July the University admission Board meeting under the chairmanship of the Rector of the Chuvash State University A. Yu. Alexandrov was held. The meeting examined the issues of enrollment for the first course for intramural and intra-extramural forms of study under admission quotas of enrollees without entrance examinations; enrollment within special quotas and target quotas; enrollment for the first course of enrollees entering the University under contracts on rendering paid education services; enrollees entering the main competitive targets within admission quota were recommended for enrollment in the first phase at the at the meeting of the University admission Board dated August 3, 2016.

Representatives of I. N. UlyanovChuvash State University N.F. Kuzmina, E.I. Buslayeva, U.S. Ratyeva participated in the International Summer Camp “Charming Anhui. Beautiful China” which was organized in Anhui University (Hefei city, People's Republic of China).

As part of the summer camp the CSU delegation participated in the events which reveal richness of the Chinese culture and beauty of the People's Republic of China. They included lectures in Chinese philosophy and scientific achievements of China, master-classes on calligraphy, cooking and art of paper cutting. Climbing the Mount Huangshan became an unforgettable event. People say: «If you climbed the five sacred mountains, you don’t have to go to any mountains any longer. And having climbed the Mount Huangshan, you don’t have to climb those five mountains ". And it's absolutely true!

The programme of the summer camp activities also included a visit to the old village of Huizhou, an old street in Huangshan, a botanical garden, the historical museum at the Anhui University, local history museum of Anhui Province, a scientific and technological museum.

Programme of activities of the camp was intense, interesting and gave a lot of unforgettable impressions. At the final meeting with the Vice President of Anhui University representatives of CSU were handed printed works on history and culture of China. Both sides expressed the desire to further develop fruitful cooperation.

Enrollment campaign-2016 has started to pick up steam

On the 22^nd of July, the Rector of the Chuvash State University A. Yu. Alexandrov in the sports complex got acquainted with organization of receiving documents from enrollees to all faculties of the University, talked to the workers of qualifying commissions, applicants, parents and answered their questions.

This year admission is held on 55 bachelor degree programs, 25 specialist's degree programs, 30 master's degree programmes. More than 10 thousand enrollees have already claimed for 1634 budget places in all forms of education.

For purposes of students’ social protection, enhancing their motivation to achieve high results in training activities, in conformity with the decision of the Academic Council of the University, Regulations on the procedure for tuition reducing at the Chuvash State University for enrollees of 2016 to full-time training by bachelor degree programs and specialist's degree programs by agreements for rendering paid education services was approved. 

The Ministry of education and science of Russia held a meeting with representatives of engineering centers

On the 15^th of July 2016 the delegation of the University headed by the Pro-Rector on scientific work Kadyshev E.N. took part in a kick-off meeting with representatives of engineering centers, created on the basis of higher education institutions subordinated to the Ministry of education and science of Russia, selected according to the results of competitive selection of 2016 (4^th order).

The meeting was greeted by the Deputy Director of strategy, analysis and forecast department of the Ministry of education and science of Russia E.V. Kalmychkov, reports were made by the project monitor, CEO of Federal State-Funded Institution “Russian Technology Agency” Pastukhov V.A. and by the head of strategy, analysis and forecast department of the Ministry of education and science of Russia Vinogradova N.V.

During the meeting measures of state support for engineering in the Russian Federation were discussed as well as organization issues for implementation of projects on establishment and development of engineering centres on the basis of educational institutions of higher education subordinated to the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation.

State support for projects on engineering centres creation and development on the basis of educational institutions of higher education is provided by the Russian Ministry of education and science and Ministry of industry and trade of Russia.

The delegation of Anhui Province (People's Republic of China) headed by the Deputy Governor of Anhui Province, Mrs. Liu Lee, staying in the Chuvash Republic with an official visit, visited I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University.

The Secretary-General of the Party Committee Mr. Lee Zhen′cun′ and the Rector of I. N. Ulyanov ChuvSU Andrey Alexandrov signed an agreement on joint establishment of the Chinese Cultural Center at the Chuvash State University.

In a solemn ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvash Republic – Minister of economic development, trade and industry of the Chuvash Republic Vladimir Avrel′kin and Deputy Governor of Anhui Province, Mrs. Liu Lee cut the ribbon and opened the Chinese cultural centre at the Chuvash State University.

People's artist of the Chuvash Republic Augusta Ulyandina warmly thanked members of the Chinese delegation for warm welcome given to her in Anhui province during the "Days of Chuvashia in Anhui Province" in 2015. Together with the national ensemble "Yardy" she gave guests a song.

Bright and spectacular performances were given by the teacher of physical education department of the Anhui University, master of Kung Fu Mrs. Van Feng, master of calligraphy of Anhui Province, associate professor of Art Institute of the Anhui University, Mr. Tao Heming.

The exhibition performance of the student of power engineering and electrical engineering faculty of ChuvSU, karate world champion by WKC (world karate confederation) version and 1 Dan holder by JKA (Japan karate association) Dmitry Vyazov with trainees evoked great interest.

Today the delegation of Anhui Province of the People’s Republic of China has started its working visit In Chuvashia.  

The delegation visited the Cheboksary regional museum "Bichurin and contemporaneity", FSBI “Federal Center for orthopedics, traumatology and endoprosthetics”, Municipal Budgetary Pre-school Educational Institution “Child development centre – kindergarten № 8 "Palace of child joy".

The Acting Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvash Republic – Minister of economic development, industry and trade Vladimir Avrel′kin – made a presentation of investment opportunities of Chuvashia for the guests from the Celestial Empire. One of the priorities of the Republican Government is attracting foreign investment into the real sector of the economy of the region.

In addition, opening of the Day of Anhui Province and of Modern Chinese Culture Center took place at I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University.

In the Saratov region the Russian youth media-forum "INFOmania-2016" ended where among the winners a student of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University Yury Chashkov was named. During three days of the forum’s functioning its participants had the opportunity to intercommunicate with competent experts in the field of journalism as well as to create and detail the draft of their student media center. As a result, a member of students’ trade union team "ChuvSU NEWS” Chashkov took the first place in the contest of video-works among participants of "INFOmania-2016 ". 

Primary accreditation of graduates majoring in "Stomatology" was successfully completed

Carried out for the first time in 2016 by the Russian Ministry of public health the procedure of primary accreditation of graduates majoring in "Stomatology" was successfully completed at the medical faculty of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University. After obtaining diplomas and receiving former students’ personal applications graduates were admitted to primary accreditation and successfully completed all of its three stages.

Assessment of professional knowledge in all three phases was conducted by representatives of professional communities, employers and teachers from other universities. Experts unanimously noted a fairly high level of knowledge and skills of medical faculty graduates, excellent equipment of accreditation and simulation training center as well as made a point on coherent and organized work of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University medical faculty employees. 

47 students of I.N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University becamewinners of scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation

By the order of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation for 2016-2017 academic year scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation were assigned to students and postgraduates studying by specialties and areas of training corresponding to priority areas of modernization and technological development of the Russian economy. By the number of scholarship holders (47), I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University entered the top ten higher educational institutions of the country (about 200 higher educational institutions), students of which are assigned to scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation.

Solemn presentation of diplomas to graduates of the presidential management training programme took place

On the 11^th of July in the assembly hall of the Academic Council of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University a solemn presentation of diplomas to graduates of the State plan on management training for national economic enterprises of the Russian Federation of 2015/2016 academic year took place.

The Rector of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University A. Yu. Alexandrov, first Deputy Minister of economic development, trade and industry of the Chuvash Republic I. N. Antonov, a member of the Coordinating Council of the Association of graduates of the presidential programme "Development", director of relay protection and automation department of LLC «Centre of projects management of Cheboksary electric equipment plant» A.G. Yegorov, the head of management and marketing chair of ChuvSU, program manager I. A. Leontieva addressed with welcoming words to the graduates of the presidential programme.

Ministry of economic development of Chuvashia has been authorized for implementation of the State plan on management training for national economic enterprises of the Russian Federation in 2007/08 – 2017/18 academic years in the Chuvash Republic. Management training programme has been implemented in the region since 1998, during these years 1021 persons passed training, including 25 persons in 2015/2016 academic year. To ensure the learning process in 2015/2016 academic year in total 1 489,125 thousand rubles were directed on co-financing terms out of the Federal and regional budgets.

On the 5^th of July, the President of the Council of Rectors of higher educational institutions of the Chuvash Republic, the Rector of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University A. Yu. Aleksandrov participated in the Forum of rectors of Chinese and Russian higher educational institutions, which took place at M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.

A wide range of issues of Russian-Chinese collaboration in scientific and educational fields was discussed. The central document of the meeting was the Declaration on establishment of the Association of universities of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China, signed by the President of the Board of Beijing University Zhu Shanlu and the Rector of M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, academician V.A. Sadovnichy. In addition, 15 agreements were signed between universities and academic organizations of Russia and China.

"Relations of out states have reached a new level thanks to the leaders of our countries and they make a major strategic objective. Strengthening direct contracts between Russian and Chinese universities is the path to success. The most important task in the field of education is development of language programmes, already in 2017 a Unified State examination in the Chinese language will be introduced", – Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation O. Yu. GolodetsinformedtheparticipantsoftheForum.

Currently, 200 Russian and 600 Chinese universities have already established partnerships in strategically important areas for the two states, having concluded 900 direct contracts. Eight profile associations of Russian and Chinese universities are created. 25 thousand Chinese students study In Russia and 17 thousands Russians study in China.

Academic year results of the program "Staff for the military-industrial complex-2015» are summed up

On the 5^th of July at the base chair of electrotechnical equipment, systems and complexes of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University, located at Cheboksary electric equipment plant a meeting was held at which the academic year results in eight projects were summed up, these projects are implemented in conjunction with the enterprise, current academic performance of students during the reporting period was examined and a list of scholarship holders was formed.

The meeting was attended by the technical director of CJSC "CHEAZ" D.A. Tokmakov, HR Director S.A. Koltsov, Director of engineering and production complex of microprocessor relay protection and automatics P.G. Varganov, resource centre specialist T.N. Mazikova, chief specialist of electric actuator and converter equipment department, Associate Professor of power engineering and electrical engineering faculty of ChuvSU A.G. Kalinin, students who concluded an agreement for employer-sponsored education under the program “Staff for military-industrial complex-2015».

S.A. Koltsov and P.G. Varganov spoke on the question of target training implementation. They noted positive practice of target training and desire of students to be employed at the plant.

The working group of the Chuvash State University, composed of associate professors A.A. Ilyin, l.A. Ilyina, A.A. Stetsenko, A.A. Andreeva, A.G. Kalinin, professor G. P. Svintsov, senior lecturer V.V. Plotnikov, together with tutors of students at CJSC "CHEAZ" defined the work plan for the next academic year, themes of final qualifying works, appointed supervisors and reviewers of final qualifying works.

On the 6^th of July the Head of Chuvashiatook part in a solemn ceremony of honouring the 100 top graduates of ChuvSU.  

Before the beginning of the festive event the region's leader Mikhail Ignatiev held a working meeting with the Rector of the University Andrey Aleksandrov and Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on education of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Alyona Arshinova. During the meeting they discussed prospects of the University development. Andrey Aleksandrov noted that ChuvSU is a fastest developing institution of higher education of the Republic.

In 2016 the Chuvash State University became the winner of the All-Russian competition on state support provision to pilot projects for creation and development of engineering centres based on higher education institutions subordinated to the Ministry of education and science of Russia. The main directions of development are agricultural engineering, industrial design, computer engineering and manufacture of hoisting-and-transport equipment. 100 million rubles will be allocated to the Chuvash State University for implementation of the given project during two years. Most of the funds will be directed to purchase high-tech equipment and software for the activities of the engineering Center.

Alyona Arshinova drew attention to the fact that the victory in the All-Russian contest is the result of teamwork of University employees and authorities of the Chuvash Republic. Of particular importance was the support of the region leadership, constant involvement of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvash Republic – Minister of economic development, industry and trade, Vladimir Avrelkin.

It was also noted that the University creates all conditions for quality education, physical training and sports. The Chuvash State University is included in the list of participants of the project of the party "United Russia", under which 500 pools will be opened in higher educational institutions of the country.

Mikhail Ignatiev also emphasized that it is necessary to preserve accessibility of higher education. Andrey Aleksandrov said that in 2016 there are 1634 budget places that is 133 more than in 2015. Training priorities are computer science and engineering, applied computer science, electrical engineering, electricity and medicine.

In conformity with the request of Chuvashia, taking into account national republic particularities in 2016-17 academic year the Ministry of education of the Russian Federation assigned 20 budget places for training at the Faculty of Chuvash, Russian philology and journalism of the Chuvash State University and in 2017-18 academic year – 37 places.

Andrey Aleksandrov also provided information on financial and economic activity of ChuvSU. It was noted that the annual budget of the University is 1 billion rubles. These funds are directed to further development of ChuvSU.

The honouring ceremony was held in the Chuvash State Theatre of Opera and Ballet. It was also attended by temporarily assuming the responsibilities of the Minister of education and youth policy Svetlana Petrova and the mayor of Cheboksary Leonid Cherkesov.

Michael Ignatiev congratulated the best Chuvash State University graduates with successful completion of their studies. He noted that one of the most efficient universities invests significant resources to intellectual potential development of young people. This allows to solve successfully tasks assigned to the regions by the country's leader, Vladimir Putin, – ensuring independence of the Russian economy from natural resources, creation of high-tech industries. "The Chuvash Republic has created all the conditions to ensure that each of you could fulfill yourself, find a decent place to work," Mikhail Ignatiev told the graduates. He pointed out that new industrial sites, social sphere objects are annually opened in Chuvashia.

Service centers of the largest banks VTB 24 and Gazprombank are opened in Cheboksary. In total, these two venues will create more than 2 thousand job places. The average age of call centers employeesis 29 years. Among them are graduates of Chuvashia and quite a lot of young people who tried to work in other regions of the country, including Moscow.

In 2015 year a new import-substituting production of high-quality clay pavers and clinker brick LLC "Ekoklinkier" was opened. In June 2016 a plant for concrete products production, LLC "Cheboksary house building factory” was opened in Novocheboksarsk. In Cheboksary production sites of the Japanese company Fujikura were created, the company manufactures cables and wire harnesses for automobiles. This year production of the plant “Aurat-SV” LLC for the production of inorganic chemical compounds in Kanach was launched. Manufacturing facilities of research-and-production company "EKRA" are expanding as well.

As noted by the head of the region, development of high-tech production speaks to the fact of huge economic potential of the Republic.

The head of the Chuvash Republic drew attention that the Republic is dynamically developing the social sphere as well. Hospitals, schools and kindergartens are built and start functioning. Graduates of higher educational institutions of Chuvashia also have opportunities to open their own business, find themselves in enterprise.

The Rector of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University Andrey Aleksandrov, when bidding farewell to yesterday’s students, expressed the hope that they will link their life with the native Republic. "Let us continue further studying with you, live in a close-knit family called Chuvashia which differs from other regions by many parameters, a favourable investment climate, where business initiatives are actively supported," he called.

The Rector of the University addressed with words of gratitude to the head of Chuvashia, Mikhail Ignatiev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on education of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Alyona Arshinova, the head of the town of Cheboksary, Leonid Cherkesov, employers-partners for their active support of the University and talented youth.

Andrey Aleksandrov told about the latest developments of the University which were achieved through the joint activity of academic teaching staff and students. In particular, in 2016 educational programs "Economics", "Management", "Finance and credit" passed international public vocational accreditation, 11 educational programmes implemented in ChuvSU entered the Federal directory “Best educational programs of innovative Russia». The Chuvash State University is the winner of All-Russia contests "New staff for the military-industrial complex” and “Staff for the regions”. Among the graduates of the Chuvash State University are the head of the youth movement "Icitizen", a laureate of the contest of projects carried out within the Youth Forum of Volga Federal District "IVolga-2014", Roman Vasilyev, a scholarship holder of the President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation Elena Solenova.

"We have chosen the right trend in the development of the University”, said the Rector of ChuvSU. The Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on education of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Alyona Arshinova when congratulating former students with successful graduation from high school, wished them to overcome life difficulties, choose the right environment and teachers and not put off until tomorrow what they can do today.

A graduate of the medical faculty Elena Solenova in her response speech thanked the leadership of the Republic and the University for creating in the University the environment for self-expression of students, noting that today's graduates will direct their efforts for further development of their native Republic.

In 2016 at I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University 3392 young specialists will receive diplomas, among them 1 514 full-time students, including 347 graduates or 23% will receive diplomas with honors.

The Rector of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University A. Yu. Aleksandrov is pronounced the winner in nomination "Rector of the Year" of the All-Russian contest in the field of development of students' self-governance bodies «Student core group».

On the 23^rd of June in Moscow the 10-th awards ceremony of the All-Russian contest in the field of development of students' self-governance bodies «Student core group» took place. Awards in the category "Rector of the Year" were presented by the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Sergey Pospelov.

"Being a lecturer of high school, I am perfectly aware of the scale and importance of a rector’s work, his responsibilities and duties. We need to appreciate the work of rectors, their contribution to development of students ' self-governance and the entire educational system as a whole, — said the head of the Agency. — I sincerely congratulate all the participants and winners of this year. It is the student community that was and is a driving force of the country, thank you for your contribution to our common future”.

The All-Russia contest in the field of development of students' self-governance bodies «Student core group» is a prestigious global event aimed at recognition and development of student governance, socially significant initiatives of student unions, structural sub-departments in educational work, administration of educational institutions of higher education in Russia.

Works of 507 higher education institutions of 78 Russian regions were presented for the contest – it is 1114 successfully implemented projects and programmes throughout the country.

The winners are determined in 16 categories including: “Best body of student self-governance”, “Best training system of student core group”, “Best project in the field of civil and patriotic education and strengthening friendship between peoples of Russia", "Prorector of the Year” and others.

This year the awards ceremony of the all-Russian contest in the field of development of students' self-governance bodies «Student core group» took place at one of the best and the most prestigious sites of Moscow – in the concert hall «Izvestia Hall».

The organizers of the contest were the Council of pro-rectors in educational work of higher educational institutions of education in Russia, Moscow student center with the support of the Government of Moscow; the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation; Federal Agency on Youth Affairs.

A refresher course «English for high school lecturers» was held at I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University

On the 28^th of June in the Conference Hall of building "G" the Rector of I. N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University A. Yu. Aleksandrov handed 16 certificates to listeners of supplementary professional program of advanced training «English for high school lecturers». Andrey Yuryevich noted in his speech that teaching in the English language allows foreign students to better internalize the learning material, this activity at the University should be further developed.

Training was passed by lecturers of the Chuvash State University who give classes for foreign students of medical and chemical-pharmaceutical faculties. The program director was the dean of foreign languages faculty M.V. Emelyanova. Classes from November 2015 to June 2016 were conducted by associate professor of foreign languages chair №2 T.S. Ignatyeva and senior lecturer of the named chair I.A. Myasnikova. On the 10^th of June program trainees passed final certification in the form of protection of training programs of subjects they teach in English.
